This painting captures a moment in the life of these two children. What appears at first to be a peaceful scene may be a mere deception, as there is some angst intended in the portrait. The image portrays a picture within a picture as the viewer contemplates the scene.

After the Feis
The last remaining sign of the anticipation and practice which went into preparing for the Feis are the ghillies which the young dancer has yet to untie.
