Illustration for the memoir “El Monte Bendito” about the Spanish Civil War. My mother Catalina López Nieto was a young child when her home town Barbastro was heavily bombed. In her book she describes living with her family at a refuge near the Pyrenees, on the outskirts of Barbastro during the Spanish Civil War.
